CD Stackers- beware!
CD stackers that use regular digital head units (without changer controls) DO NOT deliver digital sound, since they rely on the units FM receiver circuitry. This means the sound quality will only be as good as FM broadcast, which are compressed and lack the detail and fidelity of CDs. Do yourself a favour, save a little more and buy a new head unit with changer controls and hard wire the changer, it's worth it in the end.
In Car Navigation has arrived in Australia! BMW plans to offer this system in some of it's Australian models later this year, but if you can't afford a new Beamer (or yours is too new to upgrade!), all is not lost. Philips offers it's line of aftermarket Carin systems. They're due here soon, so have a look.
