The Radio Control page is now up and running so now I will try to get this area of the site to a reasonable level. In the mean time I hope you find something useful already here.

Let's face it. Building a custom car is expensive at the best of times, and probably the easiest(?) way to cut costs is to do as much as possible yourself. Most work shops charge at least A$30 per hour, and specialist often demand much more. This page is intended to save you money by showing you how to do simple things yourself, rather than pay a premium. It was prompted by a friend of mine, who's building an XF Fairmont. He wants (don't we all) a pristine show car, yet he farms out trivial tasks such as detailing. Using his method $20,000 won't go far. This page also aims to offer technical advice, so even if you can't fix it, hopefully you will at least be able to determine what needs attention, and not be ripped off fixing stuff that's actually fine.
